Introduction

With over 10 years of experience as a UX designer, I take a flexible approach to design, using a mix of methods depending on what the client or business needs. I combine the Agile Design Process, Design Thinking, User-Centered Design (UCD), Double Diamond, and the HEART Framework to create solutions that focus on users while also meeting business goals.

By using a mix of these processes, I make sure my designs are not only user-friendly but also help the business grow and adapt.

The Double Diamond Design Process
Design Thinking Process

The Agile Design Process lets me work quickly and adjust designs as development moves forward.

Design Thinking Process helps me solve problems creatively by understanding users deeply and coming up with innovative solutions.

User-Centered Design (UCD) Process ensures that the design is always easy to use, with continuous improvements based on user feedback.

The Double Diamond Design Process method helps guide my thinking to both explore many options and focus on the best solutions.

The HEART Framework helps me measure the success of my designs by focusing on user experience.

My mixed UX methodology

In my complex UX projects, I follow a mixed UX methodology, blending the best practices from Double Diamond and Design Thinking, Agile, and UCD to ensure both creativity and efficiency. This hybrid approach allows me to:

  • Empathize deeply with users through research and testing ((Design Thinking + Double Diamond))

  • Iterate quickly with prototyping and validation (Lean UX + Design Thinking)

  • Deliver flexibly in sprints while adapting to feedback (Agile)

  • Data-Heavy Projects (User-Centered Design)

By combining these frameworks, I balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility—resulting in intuitive, scalable, and data-driven solutions.

Define

What I do

I’m a people person. I collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and product. I observe and listen to people use and talk about products. Interacting with others is the best way to get insightful information and tacit knowledge about their pain points and needs.

Typical activities and outputs

Surveys, competitive analysis, contextual inquiry, comparative analysis, concept maps, data analytics, card sorting, information architecture, user research, usability testing, heuristic evaluation, interviews, research report

Develop

What I do

With all the research findings in hand, it’s time to design a solution. I like to get the client sketching so they can participate in the creative process. After all, it is their product that I’m improving and their users that I’m designing for.

Typical activities and outputs

Collaborative sketching/design studio, personas, scenarios, user flows, task analysis, sketches, lo-fi wireframes, site maps, organizational models, interaction design, paper prototypes, user interface design, content strategy

Testing

What I do

User-centered design is an iterative process. I like testing early and testing often because it’s the only way to know what works and what doesn’t. I don’t wait for a final pixel perfect solution before putting it in front of people. I trust that they understand the meaning of “work-in progress” and appreciate being involved.

Typical activities and outputs

hi-fi wireframes, user acceptance testing, usability testing, A/B testing, specification documents, clickable prototype

My Design Strategy

I use a research-driven and user-centered approach to design, ensuring that every product is intuitive, accessible, and scalable. My process starts with user research, interviews, and competitive analysis to understand the target audience. I structure information through user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, validating designs through testing.

By following universal design principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility guidelines (508, WCAG), I create inclusive experiences. I also integrate industry-standard frameworks like Material Design, Human Interface Guidelines, and design systems to maintain consistency.

With a focus on scalability, responsive grids, typography, color theory, and motion design, I craft visually appealing, high-performing, and user-friendly digital products. My adaptive methodology allows me to mix UX frameworks, delivering the best solution for each project.
